Community Outreach

I’m thrilled to share with you my longstanding commitment to our vibrant beach community and my passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those around us. Here’s a glimpse into my years of active involvement:

Community Roots: For many years, I’ve been deeply embedded in our beach community, dedicating my time and energy to various meaningful causes.

Beaches Soccer League: You might remember me from the days when I coached U5 soccer for the Beaches Soccer League. Connecting with young athletes and fostering their love for the game has been a rewarding experience.

Mission House Volunteer: I’ve been a dedicated volunteer at Mission House in Jacksonville Beach, where I’ve worn many hats – from answering phones to sorting donations. One of my favorite roles is distributing fresh clothing, towels, and toiletries to those seeking assistance, providing them not just with necessities but with dignity and care.

Jacksonville Beach Volunteer Lifesaving Corps: I’ve proudly supported the Jacksonville Beach Volunteer Lifesaving Corps. Volunteering alongside my husband at events like Deck The Chairs, sponsoring fundraisers and offering support to runners in the breast cancer run have been fulfilling ways to contribute.

Pro Bono Legal Services: I have a deep commitment to justice and have provided pro bono legal services to our community, particularly focusing on family law issues and advocating for children who are abused, abandoned, or neglected.

Education Advocacy: Through the Justice Teaching program, I’ve had the privilege of teaching local 5th graders about the importance of the Bill of Rights. My involvement extends to San Pablo Elementary School, where my youngest son attended, fostering a supportive educational environment.

Animal Welfare and Veterans Support: My love for animals led me to volunteer at the Jacksonville Humane Society, walking dogs and contributing to their well-being. Additionally, I’ve assisted with Christmas Decorations at Five Star Veterans Center in Jacksonville, showing my gratitude to those who have served our country.

Philanthropic Involvement: In the past, I’ve participated in events such as the MDA Lockup, and both my husband and I regularly donate blood at One Blood, recognizing the importance of community health and well-being.

Community Development Board: Currently, I proudly serve as a volunteer on our city’s Community Development Board, actively participating in decisions that shape the future of our community.

I am excited about the opportunity to bring my passion, dedication, and experience to a new level of service as Mayor in Neptune Beach! Together, let’s continue building a community we can all be proud to call home.
